Minutes of Trustee's meeting

The Ocheyedan Library Board met on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 4:30 P.M.  President Laurie Glade called the meeting to order.  Members present were Laurie Glade, Bernie Willadsen, Carol Iedema, Don Hormel, Nancy Faber, Tammy Hoekstra and Librarian Connie Schuster.

Bernie moved that the minutes for the August meeting be approved.  Tammy seconded and the motion carried.

Nancy reported that we have a bank balance of $31,858.67.  Trust and Agency had $25,251.25.  General Fund showed. $6607.42.  The bills were read by Nancy.  Tammy made a motion they be approved and sent to the City Council.  Carol seconded the motion and the motion carried.
Connie reported that books borrowed were even with last year.

Unfinished Business

The tree has not been taken down yet but is scheduled to be done.  The down spout has been repaired.  Marlin Laverman is going to take care of the dirt washing away on the southeast corner of the building.  We are waiting for the town council to have bids taken for snow removal.  We have purchased a new typewriter for the office.

New Business

The County Meeting is November 15, 2010 in Ashton.  Home Health Care clinic will be worked out so it can be held at the Senior Center.  We reviewed the Long Range Plan and the changes that were made.  We also reviewed the Policy.  Bernie made a motion and Nancy seconded that we approve the Long Range Plan and Policy.  Motion carried.  We all agreed we should apply for the Community Foundation grant to update our computers.  Connie will ask Diane to get quotes for new equipment.  We will have a Halloween party Saturday, October 30th.  We need to think about ideas for the Christmas Party.  Gifts have been purchased.

Meeting adjourned.  The next meeting will be December 8, 2010.
