Mission Statement

The Ocheyedan Public Library strives to assemble, preserve and administer an organized collection of educational, informational and recreational materials. Through these materials we desire to promote the communication of ideas to enlighten and enrich the personal lives of all our patrons. Our primary role is to maintain a collection of popular materials.

We seek to continually identify community needs and provide materials, programs and services to meet these needs in an atmosphere that is pleasant and welcoming to all.

As part of our services, we will expand our use of information technology to include access to electronic information resources, thereby broadening the range and scope of material available to patrons.

We support the Library Bill of Rights, the Freedom to Read Statement and the Freedom to View Statement of the American Library Association.

This resource is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by State Library of Iowa.
